e-trac question

could a few e-trac swingers out there tell me there best settings for basic park hunting. I am not really looking for relics at this time just basic coins and deep targets. I have watched a few videos but want to here different points of view.

The best advice you can get is to buy Andy Sabisch's book on the Explorer and E-Trac, read it and play with your machine until you figure it out enough to build your own programs. If nothing else it will tell you what each adjustable parameter affects and good places to start with regards to programs.

I agree.

Select the stock coin mode in Auto +2 or+3 sensitivity. NOT MANUAL yet.
Use that setting for a while, ok? Dig your solid tones, and become acquainted with what the machine sounds like on different objects. Minelab has taken the time to preset what settings work best on the Etrac for different situations. To this day, I use the factory coin setting tweeked a bit. My other is Relic mode in a 2 tones tweeked a bit. Good luck

took a month to save money for mine and another two weeks to ship it out so i had plenty of time to watch videos, read the online manual and such... bad idea, but i was jacking with EVERY setting from day one

I use the stock coin program, with the top right opened up to accept silver dollars, the stock coin program, notches out silver dollars for some reason....my morgan silver dollar comes in at 01-42 and I usually run auto +3 sometimes manual higher if the ground is better
