Ok folks. I have been using my E-Trac now for about 5 years solid. They have been hard years, let me tell ya. So here is my question(s).

1) Does Minelab do a "routine" service or even offer one?

2) Would you send it in or keep going?

I have noticed at times, I have to jiggle the connection for the headphones cause it will cut out. Nothing else, except she's dirty and not sure how much dirt has gotten inside. I'm kinda of thinking if nothings wrong why mess with it, but on the other hand, I would like to keep it good shape.

Thanks, and sorry if this has already been hashed out in another thread.

If it is working like it always seems it did don't touch it, At least that is what I would do. Short of any obvious things that need repaired.

I agree, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you want to get minor glitches taken care of, wait until the slack detecting season and send it in then.

FYI......... Minelab doesn't really do any routine service on ETracs, as others stated if it is running wait till it is broke. It sounds like you may have a bad headphone jack in etrac or a lose wire in headphones but if it is still working just keep using it till it breaks or till winter hits then get it fixed.. You can try a different headphones to see if it still happens..

Any repairs need to be sent to Kellyco not Chicago for the time being if anyone needs repair work on Minelabs.
