Found this Eagle button yesterday and looking for some cleaning ideas.
It has some writing on back but can't read it yet.

Any ideas on age?

Makton, that's the Great Seal button used from 1902 - current, I believe. Most are from WWI and WWII sites.

At least WW2 maybe earlier.

Try soaking it in olive oil....

cool i found a button just like his today, i havent cleaned it yet, it has some writeing on the back i can almost read it but it is cool

Found one of those the other day. Mine had "Made in England" stamped on the back. Almost certain it's WWI. Good find!
