early 1900's Prison camp *UPDATE*

I've been wanting to hit this site for a while now, finally did today.
Got a 1933 MASS license plate 0846, 3 bullet casings, and a weird ID band of some sort.
I have no clue what the bullet casings are except for the second bottom mark shown in the pictures.
Also, the ID band reads 28381 MB, any help on that would also be appriciated.
1st bullet read L C 56
2nd i know what it is :tongue3:
3rd reads R A 53

I will try to clean off the plate alil more, try to make it alittle purdy :tongue3:

Thanks for looking ;D

Update: after some cleaning, the number on the plate isnt 0846 its 108461 :tongue3:

Re: early 1900's Prison camp

I would say bird band of some sort. Found a bunch like that. Never bothered to see exactly what they were.

The first casing looks like a 7.62 military blank.

LC = Lake City Ammunition Plant, Lake City, Missouri

The seriously defined crimps on the necks , center and right . Twice reduced neck on casing on left .

Re: early 1900's Prison camp

The newer ones always have the narrow tips where the projectile would be. The design behind it was to create enough back pressure to recycle the automatic action.
