Wow!!! The last two days have been really good to me! I'm short on time at the moment but I really wanted to get these posted. So Natchitoches could at least see them since I don't know any other way to get ahold of him other than send a letter. Besides the beautiful Texas points.. one being late Paleo.. he also sent some great fossils a big piece of amethyst geode.. petrified palm wood" Texas State stone" and even what I believe to be frankincense to burn celebrating that special birthday... Christmas. BIG THANKS NATCH.

Holy crap that is one heck of a nice gift. Good for both of you. A very generous gift indeed.

I hope he likes What I sent him Half as much. Wow huh... he outdid himself.

Natch did you right!! I hate to see him gone. Ol Natch. In my eyes he is one heck of a dude!

You are right there!

That is awesome. He really hooked you up.

I do a Secret Santa every year on Arrowheadology and it has been a big success each time. I try my best to hook up people from different parts of the country so everyone can get something from somewhere they might never get a chance to hunt or collect from.

That is a cool deal. Do all of the members (that can afford to let go of a piece or two) participate?

I've been kicking around the idea of bringing that up... and possibly asking someone to give me a hand organizing the addresses and names.. any info Reap? What works well for you?

I usually have 25 to 30 people every year from all parts of the country and then I try to match them up so they get something from somewhere they normally wouldn't get any artifacts from. Like I don't match up two Texas people even if they are from opposite sides of the state.

This is the thread I start each year so you can see how it's ran. I also don't pair up two people to send to each other. The person you send to is not sending back to you so that way you have no idea who is sending to you and it's a surprise when you get your package.

This has went really well the first two years I have did this so I figured we would do it again this year. I know there are a lot of new faces on here this time around so the rules are below. Send me your address in a PM if you are interested. PLEASE, DO NOT PUT IT ON HERE FOR ALL TO SEE.

The rules are simple and are listed below.

If anyone would be interested in a Secret Santa where I would pair up two people from different areas and then they would swap artifacts then I will get it started. I will try to pair up people from different states and areas so we wouldn't be exchanging similar artifacts, like I'd hate to see two people exchange Gary Points for example. While someone from Pennsylvania might like getting a Gary, someone from southeast Texas probably has all the Garys they need.

The rules will be simple.

1. Send me your mailing address in a PM and I will pair you up with someone. I will take addresses until the end of November and then I will take no more. So you have until Friday, November 30th at midnight to get your mailing address to me. I will then try to match you up with someone from a different part of the country and give each of you the others address. That will give everyone at least 3 weeks to get the pieces mailed so they arrive by Christmas.

2. You have to exchange at least one complete, good artifact, preferably a Point. You can send more if you'd like. That is up to the sender. You might send multiple pieces and only get one back, so I leave that up to the sender. But it has to at least one good piece.

3. If you want to contact the person you are sending the piece too that is entirely up to you. I would prefer you didn't so it will be an actual Secret Santa and they don't know who is sending to them. If you have a special request for someone you would like to exchange with with you can tell me in your PM and if they are signed up I'll try to make it happen.

4. If we end up with and odd number of people and I have one person left over I will take it upon myself to make sure they get something by exchanging with them. Unless someone else wants to volunteer to do it I will do it.

5. The addresses will go no farther than my PM inbox. Once I get them I am going to copy them and put them in a notebook and then delete them. No one but me will ever see them and once this is over I will destroy the notebook.

So guys and gals, if you are really interested in this start sending me your addresses and I will make a list and pair everyone up. We did this here last year and it seemed to go over very well. I think for the most part everyone got some nice artifacts from their Secret Santa.
