I got out to play for a few hours today and found a few trinkets. I found a bone back button, a pewter button, and a 14 mm cufflink. I found a few of the same cufflinks at the same site. I'm still not sure what the symbol is. I saw that lined symbol before but just don't remember where. The site begins around the late 1600's and ends around the beginning of the Rev. War. Does anyone here have a clue as to what is on the cufflink?:icon_scratch:

What linked symbol? All I see on the cufflink is straight lines with a decorative boarder.

Great finds!! Thanks for sharing!!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice octagonal cufflinks. In my area the octagonal ones turn up on sites dating from the 1750s and seem to have been replaced by the oval ones by the 1780s. They may have been popular before the 1750s, but that is as early as sites go in my area. I don't think the design is symbolic in any way, just decorative.

I agree thats the rough timeline for these.
