Early navy button dug yesterday

Got out yesterday to scout a new site that showed up on an old map. The usual signs of small brick and ceramic were there so i was hopeful of some goodies. This early 1800s navy button was my best find.

I think so but I am not sure. There seems to be many varieties over a long period.

Very nice combination... green and gold! That one probably goes back to the 1700s, but doesn't really make much difference.
