I had a little play time before work today so I went to a site that had given me two very rare Native American pewter pipes [mid 1600's]. I didn't have much time but I did grab a few dome buttons and this interesting silver brooch. It's 26mmX15mm and unmarked. It reminds of the Georgian lovers eye brooch or Hudson Bay Indian trade brooches. If anyone here knows what it might be please chime in.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

With how small it is, I would think potentially some kind of knee buckle

I have a similar one, not silver though, it is in my opinion is a Breeches buckle. Not part of a shoe buckle

I am no expert but I also see a possible shoe buckle or more likely a hair pin No matter the difference it is a great find And it has a mysterious enough appearance that makes it a great find Maybe some one else will have additional info .
