I have one of the first AT Pros shipped out and yes, I had to have it "upgraded" due to the erractic or oversensitive coil issue the first ones had. After Garret upgraded the unit, I have used it heavily now for years and have not had an issue. I have carted it off to the Caribbean, Florida, the west coast and more and it has had more than its share of rough handling by the airlines and by me.......and no issues at all.

I've had mine for a little over 2 years and its been good to me. The only thing that broke that wasn't my fault was the arm cuff. I put gorilla glue on it to get thru the hunt until my new one came in. The other thing that broke is the headphone prong, broke off in the machine. I stepped on it when I was low on sugar and was trying to get some out of my pack. The bad part is I really want to send it back to get fixed but I don't want to be without a machine. Mine was already upgraded when I bought it.

I have had my ATP for a year and in excess of 330 hours on it. I have not had any issues with it at all. I have dropped it and I keep it in the back of my truck. It has been there all summer in excess of 100 degrees. It's a coin hog and great for relics and it is waterproof. I have only beach hunted with it once and the beach didn't produce much but I did try it in the water. I heard when they 1st come there were a few issues but they have since been fixed. I ma happy with mine but go with your gut no matter what you buy or you won't be happy.

Call Bart at Big Boys Hobbies he will assist you and give you the best package deal with fast shipping.

Hey MetalDetectorDude!! Had mine for approximately a year!! The only problem is I don't have enough time to burn up batteries!! Had an old Garrett Ground Hog before that!! Go Garrett!! Great Unit!! If it breaks, send it back to Garrett and they will return it to you before you can get out of the Bathroom!! GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

I've had mine for 2.5 years. It has over 200 hours of use. Garrett stands by their products. The handful of customers that have sent theirs back for repairs got them back quickly. Average repair time is about a week.

The AT Pro has been out for three years now. Since introduction in 2010, they added length to the shaft for better balance, added cam locks to increase rod strength, and revised the arm cuff for more durability.

Give me a call or PM if I can answer any questions for you.

Ive had mine since they were first released as well, had the upgrade done as has been mentioned for the very early models. Ive had no issues with it at all, a very stable and reliable unit.

Only had mine 8 months, but have put lots of hours on it, all on dry land...........................could not ask for more! No problems at all

I have had mine for 3 years now....Only issue i had was the Arm cuff , its broke twice on me now...but Garrett Sends me new ones when i tell them....Its weird because my ACE 250 has the same type cuff...But ive never broke that, and was way rougher on the ACE

Wow, thanks a lot guys. You helped a lot!
