No way to delete the thumbnail image.

I hope this works for an explanation.
Click on edit
Click advance
Scroll down the window until you see manage attachments
click on that.
Another window will pop up and there is the option to delete the attachment there is the option of deleting the post in the advance section.
Remember to save the changes
