Good news, the ground is defrosted, so me and 2 buddy’s went to one of our older permissions. It’s usually cornfields but because it’s still technically winter, the farmer hasn’t done anything to the fields. We were kinda hoping he’d have turned them over, but no such luck. Anyway, my buddy who found the draped bust half dime last fall found a nice braided hair large cent, a really nice KGIII farthing and a very old gold wedding band, not marked but obviously gold and it was nicely engraved on the inside, my other buddy pulled up a very nice KGII. I didn’t get pictures of any of their stuff so you just get to see the crappola I found which wasn’t much. First thing I found was a wiped coin, the size of a nickel but rang way too high so I’m guessing either old British or a really beat up half cent, anyway, I got a bent KGII with ok details, a busted skeleton key, and the usual farm field stuff, and no silver today.
