Ebay Sellers Union?

Mkulltra, I really appreciate your efforts so far, but I can't get into this site. Is it possible to make it easier? I belong to several different vintage vehicle forums and all of them were much easier to join. If this idea is going to work, it needs to be easy for everyone to get in. It will take thousands of seller to make this work. Having it by invitation only will definitely slow down the sign up. Thanks Again, steve { ebay seller Deadoralivecycle}

For now, the page is only going to be for those working on the project. When you go to the community page there should be a button or link to request to join. If you can't find the link, post your email address on here or pm me and I will add you to the community.

Obviously, eBay is the big dog in the online selling market. Other venues also exist (Amazon, Etsy, etc.). While certainly not impossible, it won't be easy for a new player to break into this market and have a significant impact. It is important to remember that the marketplace is highly dynamic. Success by a new competitor virtually guarantees a response from the other players. This might take the form of policy changes to be more attractive to sellers, high dollar marketing campaigns to attract new sellers, and who knows what else. I applaud anyone wishing to give it a go.

As of 2013, ebay has over 112.3 million active users who are all essentially anonymous. You might know thje username but the person behind it is basically "Joe Smith".

It is amazing to me that people actually think that tracking this kind of thing is actually going to make any difference in the long run.

Mkulltra, I private messaged you. Still can't get in the site. Steve

Has anybody been able to join "Ebay Sellers for Change" ?

I tried to add you but I guess you to have a gmail account to join.

Has anyone joined this group??????

Last thing we need is a bunch of union "THUGS" taking more of our hard earned money. Count me out...

LOL, I was in the IBEW for 11 years, never saw 1 "thug". I am now drawing a union pension of little over $220 a month for the rest of my life.. That is a new detector every year, a car payment every month or a heck of a lot of good dark ale ever week....[emoji12]

I spent 14 years in the carpenters union. I am so glad I'm out. They are a bunch of corrupt thugs. The last thing I need is more fees on eBay. Keep the unions in Russia please!!!!

Call it a guild instead, union has too much negative connotation. See if you call it a union that suggests you are ripping off the members, if you call it a guild it suggests you are ripping off customers.

There is power sellers unite forum that has over 200k registered users. They have conducted boycotts and other change implementations. However, looking at it now there are only 4 registered users logged in and 40 guests. That isn't many at all for 209,000 users registered.

It really looks like people really want change, but quickly forget because they have better things to do.
