Economics VS Detector Sales?

I was just wondering if the increasingly poor economic situation will result in less detector sales, or if the higher price in silver and gold will result in more detector sales as a means of hopefully combating the increasingly poor economic situation? I'm guessing sales will increase. What do you think?

well, i think detector sales are increasing and have been for a few years due to the price of gold and increased visibility of detectorists!!!!!!!! (hope many will not like detecting and give it up.)

"increasingly poor economic situation"......seems like all economic signposts/benchmarks indicate growth and a slowly improving economy.......but, watch out for the increasing gasoline prices to put a swift end to any growth and the start of a real depression!!!!!!
