Well? I dropped out of college twice. At the time I was making good money and didn't feel I needed it. Things change, life changes and wish I would have stuck it out. If I could do it all over I would have chased something I enjoyed and not the money. With no college I've made anything from 0 to over 6 figures a year. The 6 figure years were very few....like 2 years of my life working for myself. Working for someone? I've never made over 30 g's a year, usually much less at one job, sometimes I'd work more than one job, side jobs, weekends etc. The years that I did really good were for myself and was being at the right place and right time. I was a hustler and a wheeler dealer my life so I was always able to make money on the side when needed. That all gets old after a while.
When you get older is when you really wish that you chased education. Things change, nothing is really for sure or stable, but you can't take education away from someone.
If I could go back to school I would, location, timing, finance's, life, etc...it wouldn't be impossible but nearly impossible right now. I do have a trade cert. in Autobody. I want nothing to do with it. haha I'm actually pretty good at it, just can't stand the dust,fumes, or working for someone.
I'm no help on what to go into or where, just my opinion on whether you need it or not...Yes, if you ever want more than just a living. It can be done without school and it happens, but I think it's a rarity today. The only way in my opinion is to work for yourself unless you can land a killer job but that's tough without paper. I worked at a company as a branch of the corporate office, I was told that without paper I would never make over 40 a year, even though I'd be doing the same type of work as others. It was just an unwritten rule there.
