Not a great start to the CRH this month, going to be tough beating last years total with 3 fewer boxes but it can happen though it is quite unlikely.

My dump bank didnt have any dimes or nickels for me, (Game show failure sound). I didnt have anything to dump with them either so I can dump Wednesdays dump with them.

Todays auctions did well if I do say so myself. Tomorrow is a big auction with many high dollar items, doubtful I will get anything but I am looking at one item that would be a perfect root-beer mug but since I dont drink alcohol. Even if I did, beer taste horrible I prefer tequila all the way and you dont use 1780's tankards for tequila unless you have a death wish and I am not Charles Bronson.

Auction held some secret surprises for me, I thought I didnt do too good but after some research, I learned a little something and found out I did quite well in the long run, once things sell.

Purchased 2 boxes in the box lot they had. Got a sprinkling of silver in there which didnt add up to the price but I was also going after a few other items. Piad $5 per box, sp spent $10 total.

One coin is obviously a seated liberty quarter, the other I am not so sure what it is. I think it might be British. Dont have time to go through my foreign coins to make a match.



As for the sprinkling and extras.

So over all, between the sprinkling (0.3301) the Liberty Quarter (0.1808) and the unknown coin, I will have broke even before selling the other goodies.

I was almost certain it was a British coin, I knew I had seen that reverse before.

Already sold one challenge coin for $10, I have the $20 gold coin I picked up sold locally for $20, nice $15 profit there for some extra to the stash.

Next weekend sees 1 auction on Friday, 3 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. Sunday should be my big winner, unless Friday shows anything interesting, I will know by end of day. Saturday has 3 auctions in town so I will hit all 3 and decide from there. One has some interesting items, 1 has nothing listed and the third has items listed, nothing interesting but I will go and look anyways.

I am running behind in my silver totals, I should be at 8+ ounces at this point in the month and I am sitting barely below 5 oz.

Missed out on a deal for a 10k gold ring. maybe next weekend they will have thier stuff out at the flea market and I can grab it up. They wanted $40 for it, there was easily $80-$100 in gold, I tried to get them to go $30, they would not. I will go back next week and hopefully see them out there and grab it. I need my gold.

Todays auction went early for me. Got some sterling earrings, a sterling bracelet that is broken but its till silver, another broken sterling bracelet, some gold filled cuff links and what appears to be a old, possibly hand worked, 14k bacelet. I got everything super cheap as I seem to always do at this place so if the 14k bracelet doesnt work out, its not that big of a deal.

I dipped the 14k bracelet in some tarnex and sure as hell it has that bright 14k shine now, I think its real so I am quite pleased. The more gold I can wear to an auction, hopefully the more intimidating I am I will still get the braclet checked out electronically tomorrow.

I also have a bracelet that I am not sure if it is or isnt silver, its marked 925 but its not reacting correctly to my crappy acid... need a new bottle I think, I think this stuff I got was bunk as I have had a hard time of it reacting to anything.

Todays auction held a lot, a whole lot of silver but I got very little. Vlad pulled a number of items but I didnt get much. Too many money bags there and I could not compete with resell value people when I am buying for scrap. I also ran out of cash after lending Vlad $650 to buy some stuff so I missed out on quite a bit of the auction but overall, my $20 spend did me real well with a $380+ return. I still have plenty of stuff to sell that was not sterling or gold from that lot so I will make quite a bit of my money back on it. I already sold one swiss army knife for $5 of the $20 purchase price but that money will go into my free money fund which currently sits at $228.

Sterling salt and pepper shakers ( glass with sterling tops ) not added to list, will be sold on Friday to collector.

It helps me keep track of what I do in case I forget to log something etc. Plus its interesting to me to see how I am doing each month.

End of the month totals.

After looking over the possibly not gold bracelet in natural light instead of florecent, I have concluded its not gold. I will still get it tested but at least I am not out much at all.

Forgot to log a 14k broken chain and 14k pendent and I found a candle base piece for many a candelabra that has a faint imprent of sterling on it.
