EFFERDENT or other denture cleaner?

Has anyone tried denture cleaner?

(The kind that fizzess and sends the little bubbles everywhere?)

It seems like it would be at least semi-effective on some coins and relics!

Anyone have any experience with this?

I have never used Efferdent or similar denture cleaners. I have heard that in addition to getting rid of the crud, they can also damage the coin. Again, just what I have heard.
It may help to clean some very dirty clad. Hope it helps.
