ok I'he had to replace my coil bolt with a new one ,actualy had to go a size bigger on the teflon bolt an use a teflon nut instead of a wing nut due to that being all I can find around here .........can I use a stainless steel bolt an wing nut on this machine ......if I can use stainless without it interfearing anything I can replace the one in it now an carry a extra in my travel box with me .....I've heard on some models you can do this .thanks for anyones input ahead of time , :icon_thumleft:

Yes, you can use a metal bolt and nut. There are some who say this may cause a masking effect. This is an after-market modification as most, if not all, detectors come with metal hardware from the factory.

:icon_thumright: cool thanks CW

The last three detectors i have purchased came with non-metal
coil bolts and nuts.

1 Fischer

2 Minelab

3 Tesoro

Wonder why that is?
