- Xterra 70 6" 7.5khz concentric 9" 7.5Khz concentric, 5x10 18.75Khz DD, 10.5 18.75Khz DD.
Remember they are different coils. The distance from the center of the coils to the outer edge dose make a difference in signal pattern.
the iron bias will work different on the 11” than the 6” and their will be more separation from iron targets. And same goes for the 6”.
each coil needs different settings.
just an example. The sweep rate for an only 6” will react different than the 11”.
and the same goes for the iron bias.
visualize the wedge signal pattern on the 6” compared to the 11. The 6” will be on a sharper angle and the 6” has to be much more precise over a target and if you are off just a little you will miss the target. And that is why the 11” is hitting more targets.
But in tight carefully slow detecting areas the 6” can shine.
This is just my opinion so don’t beat me yo to much. The 6” is a hotter coil and you have to treat it that way and at timed de tune it at times.

The snow covered ground is getting to me.
