My putters to decrepit. But once you clicked on it go find it in your downloads and open it. Follow the directions on your monitor. first read the upgrade page...Connect the EQUINOX to the
computer USB port using the
magnetic charging cable and
turn on the detector.
When the EQUINOX is
identified, the MUU will
communicate with the detector
and determine the current
software version.
If the metal detector is up
to date, the application will
display
Your detector is up to
date
and prompt you to QUIT
the application.
If an update is available, the
MUU will display
Updates are
available for your detector
.
Click INSTALL to begin the
upgrade or QUIT to close the
MUU.
The EQUINOX screen will
go blank during the update;
a green LED on the top left
corner of the control box will
blink rapidly while the update
is in progress. Installation will take
approximately 1 minute.
Once the upgrade is
complete, the EQUINOX will
restart and the MUU will
prompt you to disconnect
the detector and QUIT the
application.

Btw, a possessor of Equinox can in fact if they want rollback their software update to earlier version.

I found an update for the 600. Is this the same update as the 800?

What the blank is an MUU?

MUU is Minelab Update Utility

I cant open it after downloading on my out dated desktop but will try my laptop this weekend. Got it for Christmas for working out of town but an injury has me side lined so haven't used it. ?Does anyone know if the custom user settings still disappear when you shut the EQ down in user profile?

From what I've read any custom settings in your profile will remain.

There are not separate update utilities for each detector type, they run off the same utility. I would advise only downloading from the link posted above.

The user profile, custom mode settings reset bug has been fixed in this update.
