Hi All,
I found this bird at a garage sale and I've looked on google but can't find any info on it. It has markings on the bottom of the bird, and I guess the name of the carver too. It's heavy for such a small bird and I'm also wondering what type of stone would this be? Do you think it's worth any value? Thanks so much!

A search for the artists name turned up the following:
  • Patrick Ekpakohak
A Canadian artist born in 1946. His work has been auctioned for prices ranging from $500 to $1,157, depending on the size and medium. You can research his past auction results and sold artwork prices on Invaluable.com. You can also buy or sell his artwork through Heffel.
That was the first hit I got for the name carved on the bottom of the piece. There is likely a lot more info out there.

EDIT: This may not be the correct Ekpakohak.
