Went hunting a softball field, mostly finding clad and pull tabs. Then about an hour into the hunt I get a strong 11-7, 12-7 signal at 4". Out pops a opal and black hills gold 12k ring. Pretty bent but repairable.

That works! Nice gold

The opal is good too, Mike. Going to have to downsize it, though. Obviously struck by a lawnmower.

Nice ring! Good thing about gold is that it pretty easy to return it to the right shape!

Mike, it seems I remember you purchasing your Etrac, and now you're killing it again and again!

Congratulations! Keep swinging, you're getting some hours on it now :)

Alas, and consistently better treasures await you - though that ring is quite nice all by itself!

Congrats man! That thing is beautiful...even the nasty ole lawnmower can't change that! TFS and HH

Nice chunk of gold

Some nice fire in that opal. Great find and congrats.

That's a sexy ring! can I have?

Awesoms Score Mike, the finds are getting better every hunt. You and that E trac make a good team.

What a beautiful Gold Ticket - Congrats! :occasion14:

Easy repair... Hope you have a ring mandrel... that'll make it 15 seconds of repair...

Nope no mandrel, was gonna take it in for repair, it also has a crack through the middle of the stone. Maybe that can be repaired too.

The band can indeed be fixed. However, the stone not so much. It could be repaired to the point it is secure in the setting. However, it will always have the crack through it. If you like the setting enough, you could get the stone replaced.

Congrats on the find. I would be happy to detect that.

Red says the Stone might not be able to Be repaired but A Replacement Wont Cost Much Nice Find HH Chug

Very nice GOLD recovery, congratulations! :occasion14:

Nice ring. I would take any ring right now. I'm on a serious gold/silver ring drought.

Nicely done, , although the Etrac is better known as a Silver Magnet,, it has found a few pieces of gold for me too. Congrats on a 50% Gold Ring. The ring itself is not difficult to have repaired but the Opal should be replaced. One that size shouldn't be expensive.

Nice job. The e-trac is doing great for you.
