I headed out on my bike to take in the evening cool down from a 94° day. I followed a trail that takes me into the town of Erie Colorado and then back on the streets for a nice little round about trip. It's a nice little path along the creek and a great evening to take in some sights and sounds of this man made water fall you can only visit on foot or a bike. This ended with a beautiful sunset view as is slipped down behind Longs Peak.

Great pictures, that sunset is beautiful.... What type of bike do you ride?

That sure is a beautiful sunset!

You were riding your 1959 one-speed J.C. Higgins in the 94° heat, right?:tongue3: Gary

Gorgeous Photos!

Its made by Trek. My wife bought it for me maybe 8 plus years ago and I've already gone through a set of tires on it. With a smart phone in hand and a nice day its my office sometimes when I'm working from home. Nobody can tell I'm texting, calling and emailing from somewhere along the trail or at a park bench under a shade tree away from all the noise.

Looks like a beautiful place to ride and view! :icon_thumleft:

Awesome scenery and great photos. Nice bike ride you had.

Man, you got a killer sunset pic on that one!

That was a Schwinn.

I was just teasing you about the bicycle. I figured when you said "bike ride" it was on a motorcycle. I've got a few 50's bikes but don't ride much anymore. Gary

I did have motorcycles at one time and still keep thinking about getting another, like maybe a KLR 650, but I probably never will.

Its during these hot summer days you'll see these orange sky sunsets more often. Yesterday some cooler weather moved in with temps in the 80s along with some fast moving thunderstorms. Seems living in Colorado and the way the seasons move along makes the years just fly by or maybe that's just the way it seems the older you get? Heck the wheat fields have all turned to gold already and won't be long to harvest.

Summer is flying by. When I was a kid I was told when the cicadas started buzzing in the trees summer was half over. I haven't heard one yet but I'll bet it won't be long until they start. Gary

You know 30 years ago I don't believe I heard the cicadas around here, but now I do and with that it might mean summer is 3/4 along here on the high plains. We start getting a night time cool down at the beginning of September and snow might be seen the first week of October.

Amazing picture wow I could hang that in my living room
