Ever seen something like this?

The guy that had the celt that I posted about also had this. I don't really think it's native-related, but he said he thought it was. He said he found it near the Florida/Georgia border. He thinks it's a cat effigy finger puppet. I've never seen one. The pottery doesn't look right to me, but here it is...because I don't know where to start other than here. Opinions appreciated! Thanks.

That definitely looks like a cat. As for it being an effigy, I've no idea. Still very cool IMO!

Probably put clay on a stick then put it in the fire. The only cats in that area would have been the fla panther and bobcat they did not have the common house cat. It would have been lunch Noy sure what it was made to represent?

Yeah, I figured if it was a cat, it would have been a bobcat. Could be a lot of critters too. I thought beaver, raccoon... there seems to be a crest at the top of it's head too? I wish I could find something similar. The hole is too small for any of my fingers to fit into, but my wife's could. I have big hands though.
