an obviously tampered with Brinks roll (5 of them had been opened and turned back in) with a 40% in it. any of you buy rolls, think their dumps (as far as brinks or cwi wrapped), and find silver in em?

RECENT FINDS

Found 1 40% / 1 90% in $95.50 at 5 banks.

Found 2 loose Liberties (36 / 42) and 1 40% yesterday in $29 searched at 3 banks yesterday.

Taking 5 weeks off is great. I haven't been doing boxes since I've returned, just hitting up the local banks, a new route each day during lunch!!! :headbang: :hello2:

No tampered rolls, but the majority of my finds have been Brinks wrapped and mixed with marked (previously searched) coinage.

got a whole box of brinks that where tampered with and just turned 'em back in. might of been a misteak

Yep, re-rolled Brinks, 3 - 40% and 6 NIFC jumped out so bright you needed shades. All marked on the roll with a black check mark.

Keep in mind that many are not aware of the clad-silver halves, they are tossed back many times by people looking for 1964 and older. Especially since the buyers advertise that they want the 90% silver coin. I know that when I crh'd back in the late 70's I was aware of the 40%'rs, although I was keeping the 90%. ffd

Found 1 40% in a rewrapped/searched roll. It even said, 'junk' on the side in pencil.

The last box i had.....4NIFC 25 40% and 10 90% including 2 bens looked like 1/2 the rolls had been tampered with.......the ones that didnt look tampered had no silver =P

I had a retaped coup0le boxes while back with tampered rolls didnt search may have been a mistake. :-\

I get dumps at this one bank that are cwi rolls and usually find 40%s in them.
I think some people only save the 90%s. That's all good with me.
Five-90s & 2-40%s nice score
