I know this isnt a knife but it is a example of how these blue and gray rocks are a big pain and if I was a newbie I would argue it till somebody was to come along and say........That is a Point!
They come in all shapes and some will even look as if they have edge work like this one even though I couldnt get a pic of it.

"Just a rock", rock.....LOL.. Had to say that...

Rock, all rocks in the creek are creak rocks, Rock. Sorry, lol

What is important here that when I picked it up in the water when wet it looked just like a nice knife. I was just a smiling till it dried in my pocket and I looked later. What a disappointment I almost chunked it then I thought it is grainy to the touch and would make for a good example.

Good example..... Unfortunately most people even when asking for opinions have already formulated an answer they want to hear from others and will refuse to except the reality that it's "just a rock" but hopefully this helps somebody out.

Those darn rocks fool me all the time I get all excited then later I see its just natural. They even come in oval shapes like turtle back scrapers. Not saying the material wasnt used ever cause if I wanted a quick tool it already has the rite shape. Although I dont know if it would even knapp for a tool.

I find those fakers all the time and it drives me nuts!!!! Not trying to hijack your thread but when I found this yesterday I thought it was a big flake and especially since it's a different rock type than I usually find in the creek and to top it off it looks like the creek stain made a bird imprint on the outside section. How many people would argue this is for real a NA artifact when in fact it's a geofact with an impromptu bit of art on it. lol WP_20160505_001.webpWP_20160505_002.webp
