Excal lower shaft seperated???

My lower shaft seperated and I am not sure how this attatched? Was it just glued together? It is the seperation by the coil. I was getting it ready for a hunt tommorrow and it fell apart. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like your talking about the fiber shaft seperating from the stainless shaft..... Happen to mine many years ago, I just used Plummers Goop which is waterproof adhesive glue to gle it it back, never had a problem again..... You can buy it at Home Depot, Lowes, and I imagine Ace Hardware...... Loctite Marine Epoxy works great too.....


There is just one thing you have to be careful of, be sure it is lined up properly with your armcuff.....

Actually it's part of the lower fiber or plastic shaft. Down close to the coil it separated. There is a short shaft that slides up into the lower shaft. But, I think your meathods would work in this case, thanks!

LOL, It's not mine, just saw the picture and thought they had a good one to show where I was talking about.

Same thing happened to me last week. Used some two-part epoxy and tested it at the beach yesterday. No problems. Just make sure that you reference how the plastic piece lines up with the shaft or your coil will be cockeyed.
