Interested in making this mod to a unit I’m about to buy. Who do you recommend? I’m not soldering kind of guy. I want someone I can ship to and have them do it.

814-283-4270 Detector Center in PA will be doing them very soon. They are the Authorize MInelab repair center. If the xcalibur is older then 5 years I would have them check the O-rings also.
