Air tests are great 10 inches easy on a dime. Went out in the yard and was pleasantly surprised runs way smoother than the stock coil no more falsing! not that the old coil was that bad in fact I only got it for the extra depth the smoothness was an unexpected bonus of the DD design but I'll take it! And I found a wheat I missed in the past with the old coil. but here's my favorite part the air test picks up the 10 " dime from near heel to toe on the coil and man can you cover some ground! Pinpointing is a challenge though because of it so I had to learn to go off the tip.>>>>>UPDATE went back to an old spot I hunted hard and dug this in a spot I concentrated on with the stock coil it was about 9" deep.

What was the best price you found on the excelerator coil? Looks like it might be worth looking into.

I just went with KellyCo I did not shop around. I think I paid $169

Sounds like i need one. Thanks for the info also did you get anything else with the new coil.

Yes cince then I found another large cent , an english half penny, a seated dime, some indian cents, and an early merc., a bunch o wheats and buttons. All found with the new coil plus I can pinpoint off the tip better than the old coil. I am well pleased and would recomend it to any cellar hole digger but in my first attempt in a park I got coin signals from bottle caps which I hear is common of any DD coil.

Now how deep can this coil go and those coins how far down where they. Man you got my mouth watering for this coil. Have fun and HH

In air it goes 10"+ on coin size objects. I can"t say my latest finds were super deep 4"-8" but many I missed with the stock coil I did dig a copper lid about 2" big at at least a foot. I would attribute my tenfold increase in success with old coins with the ability to cover 4X the ground in a given hunt plus if something is metal and disc shaped this setup wont miss it so unless you are in bottle cap city (I can't seem to disc. them out) I would recommend it. I hunt early 1800s farm cellar holes almost exclusively and have never found enough bottle caps and pull tabs to fill a hollow tooth in 4 years and on these types of sites it is perfect for me.

Well I bought one and I swear by it. I found more coins with this coil even though I been through the park a million times. Great coil :headbang: :icon_thumright: More to come.

Please Keep us updated, alot of us are interested in this coil. HH Extractor

I was actually thinking of buying this. Kellyco dropped it to $99. Is it really worth the money tho? How much better is it then the stock coil? I can't find a coin size target over 5" max with mine. Everything is 2 - 4" and I do mean EVERYTHING. I can't get signals on deeper targets, I do get like 1 signal every 20 sweeps on some targets and it says it's 8+ inches but can't get a target on it. Would this coil help?

I also saw the coil at Kellyco for 99.95. I am really interested in this coil. I love my Ace 250 but if this coil gets me into deeper ground I am all for it. One question they also sell parts for it like the Garrett Lower Rod. for 9.95 and the Garrett coil hardware set for 6.25. Is that something one should order also or is it not needed. . Most of my hunting is in city parks also. Would appreciate any feed back. Thanks Shane

I always buy a lower rod for all my extra coils. It saves a lot of time changing coils in the field, and time is money. Those washers tend to flatten out a bit if you hunt often every year, so changing the washers does make a difference.

I was just going to post a topic asking if anyone had experience with this coil. I'm glad I stumbled across this one. I'm about 20 minutes from Kellyco and think I will pick this one up. For $99, I can't see it hurting to have another coil in the arsenal. HH!

Yes buy one now if its that cheap I paid $180 for mine. I does work great Ive been picking up stuff left and right. The deepest target was 12" at the most and some shallow one to. Try to avoid trashy areas its just to much for it but does cover lots of ground in no time. Tried it yesterday after a rain storm and got target really deep around 14" or so 1955-D penny and lots of clad. So get it and have fun and HH.

Well, I stopped by Kellyco on the way home and picked one up. Now to see if a few of my local hunted out spots produce some deeper targets!!!

You'll be surprised what you missed. HH and Good luck
Keep us informed on your hunt.

My ACE 250 is a coin /ring getter as it is . But with all the good feed back that I've always heard about the Excelerator 10x14 coil and the $99. dollar current price ,I called Kellyco and ordered one. The UPS tracking says it will be here on the 29th. WAHOOO!

I only had about 20 minutes to test it out this evening. I seem to be able to locate targets a bit easier than with the Garret 9x12 coil. There weren't many targets, so I think my week vacation at the beach for the 4th will be the true test of this coils abilities. Can't wait to see what digs I find after all the holiday beach goers!!!
