exceptional silver religious medal

[leslie(nova scotia)]

From the land of the Bluenose.....in keeping with the rarer type finds this large silver medal rates as one of my top 10 fav items ever recovered. it was found over 20 years ago at the Dingle in a fob along with a cross and chain. Don't do Latin so no clue as to the translation of this beautiful piece. Well as of today I'm officially one year from pensionable.

Doing these posts of older finds is helping remain lucid. Staples come out of my knee on the 03JUN.

That was a very nice find leslie(nova scotia).

Not sure about the front text, but the rear translates to "My heart joined to you".

Front is likely the name of the saint "Marie A Ete" concue = Shaken

Latin Translation

Used this at that web site

Marie A Ete concue Sans Peche
Cor meum Jungatur Vobis

Extremely nice find.......now I may be a little biased because it is religious, but it is awesome regardless.......

I really like the design on the back. That is very cool.

[Mackaydon]

"Mary was conceived without sin" is the other reading.
Great save, Leslie,
Aye, Don........
