explorer shaft compatability question

Hi, just wondering if the upper shaft from an Explorer II will work on the XS.

Yes, but put it into the housing with the lower clamp lever toward the ground. This way it slides into the housing an extra inch as the II's shaft is cut off at a 45 degree angle where it goes into the housing.
