EXPLORER VS THE QUATTRO

I have used the ..Explorer & the ..Sovereign.. but never the ..Quattro.. any one give me some information on the ..Quattro..? ==Jim==

It's one of those detectors that you don't have to have owned or used to hate!

From what I've read it doesn't sound like a detector for me, and since you've used an Explorer probably not for you either. Even serial killers have defenders so someone should be along soon with the thumbs up.

Simple words would be " Slow but Deep " . Not a competition detector for sure but maybe a simplified Explorer with out all the bells and whistles . I've had my Quattro now about a year and a half and have found some cool stuff with it . Not to mention 128 silver coins and 572 wheaties .The problem is no one gives this detector any respect or a chance . Takes some time and effort to learn and figure out what it's telling you . With 28 multi frequencies ( Same as all Explorer's ) it can bark with it's big brother the Explorer as far as depth . However the Quattro's recovery speed from target to target is dredfully slow . That's the only flaw I see in this detector .This has never been a problem for me since I prefer to go slow anyway . I've always said " slow down and you won't miss those good targets mixed in with trash " .Well I cherry picked amongst the trash almost all of my silver coins this year . It's payed off for me but what do I know . So remember Slow can be a Good thing . Yep that's my two cents worth .......

afew people i know have had and got rid of the quattro.from what they tell me its best used in all metal.
