Hello SandWolf,

Welcome to TNet. Be advised that ARPA rules likely apply there.

Thanks Don....super info...very anxious to explore...good feeling knowing this forum has so much knowledge available, and folks willing to share... thanks again

For me, UC Berkeley's Bancroft Library has produced a gold mine of information regarding searches similar to yours. For example, here's one entry in the Bancroft stacks:
Bardwell, John Milton, d.1892. Day book of saloon in Last Chance,
Placer County, June 16 [1859]-Sept. 17, 1860, and day bookof grocery store
in Last Chance, June 2-Nov. 5 [1866] Last Chance, Calif., 1866. 1
v.(unpaged) 31x12cm
And here are two additional holdings:
MAP. Last Chance and Dago Hill. [1907?] Scale [1:2,400] 1 map ; on sheet
68 x 82 cm.
[Long Display] (UCB)

MAP. Last Chance Mine : Humbolt [sic] Nev. [191-?] Scale [1:600]; 1" =
50' 1 map : ms. ; 26 x 51 cm.
[Long Display] (UCB)

Back in the day........I would use Bancroft's
"Melvyl" search system to produce such results. Perhaps that same (or better system) is available to you today.
Caution: Last Chance is also in the Yukon Territory; so make sure you are only reading about the Calif. Last Chance.
Good luck !!

Don....

Thanks Don....yep now that would have been a long road trip if reading on Youkon Last Chance.
