I was thirsty for some silver today so I called Koleen for a hunt but she was out ot town. (Now that I've hunted with a partner, I kind of miss it when she's absent.
) Thus, on my lonesome I headed out to our favorite site. I hunted about 2.5 hours and was happy to find a '26 Merc and five wheats: two '46's, '49D, '44, and a '49. Some of the wheats were pretty deep.
It was humid, the weeds were thick in places, the poison ivy fluorishing, and the mosquitoes annoying. I'm not a big fan of bug dope so part of the time I put on a light jacket....now I was toasty!!
So, only one silver coin but it felt like ten for all the effort it took to find it.
Also found a threaded doodad.
I saw three young turkeys and found a very nice turkey tail feather.
Still learning the new machine.
HH and thanks for looking,
