I guess it's one of my perks at my job at the parks. 18k . That really helps when they trash the parks from tournaments so I don't feel so bad cleaning up lom

Well if it's the real deal, it probably will = a new detector.
Congratulations!
18K = $80 a gram

Looks fake as H E double toothpicks to me. I found the same chain on the street a few years ago. Mine had a pendant marked 18K as well.
I sure hope I'm wrong!
I very well could be I have now idea how to tell without taking it somewhere

At my job I've seen plenty of fakes of that style of chain and I'm sorry to say that doesn't look dark enough yellow to be 18k. It is likely plated. I'd suggest getting it tested. Hopefully I'm wrong and you'll get a big wad of cash for it. Either way though, it's still a cool find.

Have to echo some of the others here. I found one similar. all excited then I strated to see the copper base color showing through on some links on the one I found. Wishing you the best however that is a the real deal.

Sorry, it’s definitely a fake, I’ve seen that pattern on the links several times, all on fake 18k stamped chains. Bummer!

If you go by any jewelry store or Pawn Shop, they can test it for you. I suspect the clasp is 18K and the chain itself is at best plated.

I have found several pieces in the past that were clearly marked 14k, and one marked 18. All fake. Sad but true. What is even sadder is the people who bought them in good faith and had been cheated. I kind of hope they lost those items without even knowing.

Congratulations on the find, always nice to eyeball something.
I’m more with the others on the “Whether it’s gold or not” it doesn’t really look like gold to me from the pictures. Gold tends to have a gold but pasty color, look. And anywhere it’s scratched it looks the same

I found a spot on one of the links, you can see copper on it...oh well
