DEUS II at the old house site..
1938 Half and 4 Wheats (all 1941) unknown badge,

DEUS I Playground Gold cross and chain and lots of small stuff
(can’t pick up the chain separately)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Backstory on that HALF DOLLAR, As we were walking around that house, (not many signals) I think I was noticing that it was hard for the machine to get a "clean signal" which basically means that whatever I walked over the target was jumping around and not giving a really distinct signal..
So I got this signal, and it was jumping around from 88-91 and sounded scratchy like you get when you get a trash target...
People will know what I'm talking about.. And the truth is I ALMOST left it... (silver dimes are 91-92 quarters are 93-94 and I assume a silver half would read 95-96) Almost left it... but after listening to it pop and snap in the 80's and 90's , I said "I'm going to dig this just in case its a regular dime or penny.. (not the end of the story)
So I start digging, stick the pinpointer in, get a target and start to dig the sides out.. pulled some dirt out and my digger and I look back in the hole and see this BIG ROUND thing laying on the side of the hole.. like it kinda rolled out as I was digging..
( it was in the hole but you could clearly see the whole thing)
So now... I called to my partner and I said "Hey come take a look at this... I want you to see something" So he walks over and one look and he says "what is that ? a half dollar ?" and I said, "no its probably an aluminum token because it didn't read anywhere near a half dollar signal" and he said are you sure and I said I'm sure... I said this thing was jumping around in the penny dime range, so I think it's just an aluminum token... (you couldn't see what exactly it was in the hole)
So it was after that when I reached into the hole and picked it up, and as soon as I did I knew because of the weight and feel that it in fact was a Silver half Dollar...
I don't know if it was sitting next to IRON, I don't know if there was another reason it was jumping around like that... but
I was SHOCKED, to say the least...

Just to say this, I think that house had already been hunted by someone else, because there were very few targets in that yard.
I pulled 3 wheats in front, (deep scratchy signals) and the half and one wheat in the back, (Also that badge came from the front yard) with 4-5 regular pennies in the BACK....
My hunting partner got NOTHING of note in that front yard, no coins at all and only a few pieces of trash...
So you really Never know what is left behind in an old place..

The Gold cross was with the DEUS I and its elliptical coil in a playground, I can't tell if I would have gotten it with the DEUS II round coil...
I am SOOOO waiting for that new elliptical coil for the DEUS II..

Congrats on the great finds !

For me, target ID numbers on the Deus 2 - not all the time - but often vary a lot.
Sometimes Pennies come in on Dime numbers - Indians come in on Wheat Cent or even as high as Dime numbers, etc.
Digging by ear and the quality of the sound of the target seems to be the only way to go.
I'm with you on MOST of this, but let me warn you... I have been in locations where I get those "Clean, smooth, target signals and you just know you need to dig them...
This was NOT the case in this location. Almost all the targets were chattery and jumpy. Scratchy and not clean. This silver half was like this, I don't know what was in the soil or maybe some kind of interference was in the area, but clean signals, there were not many. And the deeper the targets the worse they sounded...
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED 🤣

Is it possible you were dealing with some EMI ?

Wow! Massive amount of fantastic finds. Congratulations! It sounds like you really earned your prizes.
