Eyeball finds from the park including first gold of '08!
All of these finds are from the park that gave me my first buffalo of the year...these are all eyeball finds from after a hard rain...the park has been there since around 1917. Among the finds are a baby spoon, with some writing on the back..any idea is this a manufacturer, or personal inscription? Next item was hard to ID until I washed it...it turned out to be a small wristwatch...you can make out some of the numbers on the face, and when I gave the back a close examination, it turned out to be my FIRST GOLD of '08! The back reads 10K gold filled...pretty good...any idea as to age? I know it is hard to tell....the next find was a small horse head...was this from a play soldier set? Not too far from that was a small lead arm...mayber from the horses' mount?? The next find was what appears to be a button, but I am not sure...it alslo appears to be gold...what do you think? I can find no markings on it...and the back has a strange shape to it with a small hole that perhaps attached to something else? The final find was another button...this one has what looks like tulips on the front...any idea as to age? Again, I can see no markings on the back...I will also post this in the button section to hopefully get an ID....The small pattern on the front around the tulips appeas to be smaller tulip "heads" that may have been gold gilt...any ideas appreciated!
As always thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
