Nice Find Hardpan. About what size is it? It appears to be a harness ornament bell or maybe even a gaslight Ornamental piece.Is it Silver or Pewter? Thanks for posting it. HH

Nice Crotal bell hard pan. (AKA Sleigh Bell)

Yours is Fairly old, only 2 holes in top. the Later ones have 4

? Soak it & get the dirt out and it will still ring.

Great crotal bell! I've only found one myself (from the mid to late 1800's mine was), but I would love to find more of them.

it is an old sleigh bell, looks similar to the design of my Dad's... I think his is late 1800's was his grandfathers...has all the bells and original leather
