F2 or Ace 150/250, friend needs some insight

I ya'll. I have a friend that is getting back into metal detecting after several years away. He has a limited budget of under $150. He wants a target ID machine and he wants a used detector to get started with. I have suggested either the Fisher F2 or the Ace 150 or 250. Please let me know how you guys like the machines and which one, if the opportunity presents itself, you think from your experience might be his best investment. Thanks for the help.

I can't give an honest comparison for I've never used the F2 or the Ace 150, but I have an Ace 250 that seems to serve me very well. I just ordered a large coil to get a little more depth, but for the money I'm extremely pleased with it.
