Do you know if it is possible to distinguish year of manufacturing out of serial number of the metal detector?

Do you know if it is possible to distinguish year of manufacturing out of serial number of the metal detector?

All i can tell you is when i want to know what year a detector was made ....... I call the detector co. and give them the serial number and most of the time they tell me what year it was made............. So you will have to call Fisher lab to find out as far as i know.... That's all the help i can be.................
