log into facebook, click on the search bar at the very top, type in "metal detecting", then click "more results" at the bottom.

there are lots of them. brand specific, area specific, clubs, etc.... I use facebook for my sons Sport and Boy Scout events updates/communications and now use it for my areas metal detecting friends. National one I'm linked to is Whites metal detectors and local is Tri-state Hunters Inc. detecting group.
