Failed Oilseed Rape Field - Day 4 - Finished!

I spent 5.5 hours finishing the failed area with Dad helping for just over 1 hour. Hot day today, which means I got a little sun burnt.

Funny how I recently posted on Hispans post that I hoped to get another Horse Pendant this year, but I never expected it so soon! Wow!

2 hours into the hunt I had 4 plain buttons, I began to wonder what I was going to say on Tnet, then out of the blue the Horse Pendant. As long as you keep gridding, the hope is that something should show, even in a tough field.

Day 4 suggests its the 4th day on this field & yes I have explained in a number of posts why some fields have failed oilseed rape in them.

Rememeber the gold cross in the Staffordshire Hoard, well my Lead cross was all deliberately foldered in on itself in the same way. I wonder if this is a Saxon period cross & I can't think of a good reason, other than to defile anothers religion, why you would bent it all in??
