[FONT=&quot]Had to get my rear in gear so I grabbed my bouy Quota and headed out. Headed out is a relative term considering we are in lock down and only allowed to go to the extend of your community's border.

[FONT=&quot]Penny popping parade was fine by me. Also gave me a chance to feed the wildlife as the blackflies were out in full force.

[FONT=&quot]Half way though the outing Quota was acting strangely so I did a battery check....ding. No ding ,ding ,ding nor ding ding just a lone ding. Quota had given out before me at 43...7 short of a load!

[FONT=&quot]Still was nice to get out with the dig clearing my mind for what was to come...the assault on the Machin Heads. A mind altering and numbing endeavor requiring all the tools in my arsenal. I'm sure that some people who are not collectors of stamps do not know what all the tools are.

Black flies!
At least they are a sign of clean water.

Congrats on the swinging.

Quota needs a vitamin....

Black flies are the worst biters.

Glad You got a hunt in anyway. Those suckers are mean! We visited an island in Wisconsin and got swarmed by those biters... The off We had didn't even phase them either.

I got ate up by them while on the tractor the other day. My head is still sore. Ha. Congratulations on getting out.

I have a cabin on spednic lake on st croix river west of you...there really is a whole other species of black flys out there.... never experienced anything like it before....BRUTAL

It may look insane...but I'm not shy about wearing mosquito head netting in those situations...Keeps the bugs ( and the people) at arm's length.
PS- IMHO- This " lock down" stuff is waaaaaay out of control. Live your life...dig your holes!
