Hi all, while completing a half dollar box tonight which produced a 1987p and a 10-dided(decagon) shaped Jamaica coin, I came across a bright BU edge, out plops a 1968d, the 1968d does not have the silver ping, but has the magician's clunk... what to do?

Thanks for any advise!

I keep it. It's worth more than 50 cents, so sell it on eBay or CL.

It may be a silver magician's half. What denomination was the Jamaican?

fifty cents and it is a magicians coin, i don't think it is silver though, it looks silver, the edge is silver, it just has a clunk to it when dropped resembling a common magician's(fake) half dollar.

Start a touring magic show like Gilmore did.

It is, or more accurately was a 40%er. The hollowing out process likely removed some of the silver, plus it now being hollow on the inside is why it "thuds" rather than "ping." I wouldn't be shocked if it would bring a little more on eBay than a magician's half that was made from a clad half.
