False target reading on display

Hello,

My new CTX started constantly showing a false target in the quarter range that will jump off on other targets but always comes back. Even when it's not present for a second, the area shows yellow. I sent it in for repair and it came back saying they saw this but the machine is in spec blaming my coil wire. This error persists with different coils and in all programs, factory and added ones. Anyone have any suggestions for this issue?

Solved. Reset the machine and reinstalled the modes.

NOT Solved. After switching out of any factory program, the error returned.

Solved. Rubber house around the exposed coil wire.

Minelab Service

I contacted Minelab directly and they replaced my CTX. Can't say enough about how promptly they solved this issue. It means a lot when a company stands behind their equipment. Can't wait to hit those cellar holes!!
