It's been many years since I posted here because I haven't been able to detect as much. I hope everyone is doing well and I've enjoyed looking at the great finds from time to time. I made this cool family-related discovery through research and thought I'd share it. I've had this great photo of my dad when he was young and his parents, my grandparents. All are deceased, so I couldn't ask about the location. I knew it was in Brooklyn, but only had the address #721 in the photo. I did some checking on potential 721 addresses and found some definitive non-matches. Also, many buildings change a lot in 75 years or so, which is the age of the photo. I continued the research and found this definitive match 721 Avenue P, Brooklyn by matching the unique brick pattern next to my dad's left hand compared to a modern dad street view photo. I've included the photos, including an approximation of the same angle the photo was taken. It's nice to know the location and I hope to go there one day. Notice the brick pattern of larger rectangular brick then two smaller ones, then same larger one, then the two smaller ones. The modern day railing obscures it a bit, but you can still tell.
