It only took us just less than 3 hours to finish gridding the site and we got 13 scrappies & a hammered. I've also just named an area in the corner of the settlement where we get a cluster of larger coins (Mostly Ass's). I've called it 'Ass End'.
After lunch we moved to another Roman Site called the Corner Pond. It was another ankle breaker worst than the last & we only managed just over 1 hour before we called it. No need to injure ourselves. Although we only did 4 hours total it feels like 10 on my legs!

15 Scrappies
Roman Iron Implement?
17th C Buckle
Medieval Buckle Plate
Mid-19th C Hammer to a Pistol (Only our 2nd ever)
Roman Pin Head
Hammered Halfpenny of Richard II 1377 - Nice one!

always with the cool and exciting stuff that we can only dream of. I do love the hammer, no telling where all it had been before being lost to the dirt

Awesome hunt! And a great looking halfpenny from the Ass End :laughing7:

That hammer looks to be from a left hand lock. Left hand guns are fairly uncommon, and I would imagine it's from a double barrel rifle or shotgun. It's a cool find that I'd be happy with

Very nice Hammered.

Outstanding hunt! :occasion14:

Very nice half penny ! That should fetch at least a pint at the public house .

That's some nice finds, especially that Richard II Halfpenny!

Definitely the left side. Thanks for the insight, I'm clueless about guns/weapons as we just don't find them here. This is a very rare find for me.

Well done on the hammered, nice and crisp.

Cool silver and nice relics, good hunt!

Great coin to relic ratio over at the ass-end! And that Richard ii hammered must have went in the ground in a very fine condition

Better than you think because all the relics were found at the other Site.(After Lunch)
