We got out this morning on a permission that I got last week. We only got to do the field because the house site was beyond overgrown. We will hit that in the spring before everything grows again. Needless to say, I am not disappointed. First target was the key plate. Second target....1898 Barber Half less an inch down that I knicked with the shovel. The wheatie is a 1917 and the crotal bell is probably one of the fanciest that I have ever dug. Can't wait to go back.

Really nice finds there! Cool seeing people find the large silvers although I'd like to find one myself!

You pattern your techniques after the other's that find these amazing coins and you'll get yours in time buddy. Location is key. Keep after it!:headbang:

Congrats on that big beautiful Barber, seeing that come out of the ground is so exciting! And that's gotta be the fanciest crotal bell I've ever seen, gorgeous!

Congrats on your first 1800's silver. A Barber Half is the way to go ! That is also one very nice looking Crotal Bell.

Now that's one nice silver you got yourself, though that's one killer bell you found. Dug a lot of bells even two today actually but most pale compared to yours, I would be one happy camper digging that one up. Congrats!

Dang if I had to choose between the bell or the Barber idk! I would have to make a display for all of it together. Awesome hunt.

Not sure its strictly a Crotal Bell, looks like a more modern Indian made bell, maybe for dancing.
