They come and they go.

I found this little one the day after the tornado. It tried to shake it off, but eventually, went on to mousy heaven.

My dog Ollie got sprayed by a skunk weekend before last. It was about 5 am I let him out and he must have just about had the skunk by the tail as he was foaming at the mouth. I put him in the garage and did a little checking online to find out what best to wash him. The tomato juice thing is bunk they all said. Even professional groomers, say a solution of 4 cups peroxide, two tablespoons baking soda and a tablespoon of Dawn dish soap works the best. I ran to Walmart at 5:30am and got all that along with a soaking scrub brush and rubber gloves and washed him off in the garage where I left him. The stuff works good, but when I came back from a week on the road I could still smell it in the garage and he still had a bit of smell. I'm seeing more skunks around here in the wee hours of the morning than in recent years.

Thanks for the info, Tamrock. I just might need it. We keep all of that on hand. We have found out that if we wash with Dawn after trekking around in the woods, we don't suffer from poison ivy, sumac or oak. We might get a little bump here or there, and on occasion a small patch, but that stuff washes the oils off and does the trick.
Give Ollie another bath when it's been 2 weeks since the last. It will eventually go away. As for your garage, IDK. :dontknow:

I am hoping we have a Great Horned Owl around here to take care of these three.

That's cool as heck! Certainly means you address life just a little more seriously than many.

Yes, Deep. It added a couple different perspectives to life. Sometimes, I think back and think I would have given more of myself to the service if I had it to do over again. But, then my life and all that I have (kids/grandkids) would probably not have happened. So, I am much more appreciative and thankful to those who have served and sacrificed for this country and, in turn, all that I have.
