I'm a newbie to the hobby and wanted to know what everyone's favorite gloves to use while detecting. It's easy to find what the best pointer is, the best digger is, what peoples thoughts on detectors are but I didn't see anything about best gloves to use.

So, let us know what kind of gloves you use and why you like them so!

From Where Ripper?

I found them on Ebay, I forget how much, under ten bucks and free shipping. They fit good and I'm able to pick coins up with no problem.

Thats what I'm looking for is a good tight fitting but still comfortable glove.

I like them to be a bit form fitting to make it easier picking thing up etc. and not having annoying loose gloves that make things difficult.

I'm gonna go shopping for some later this week and see what I find ... if not I'm just gonna roll with Mechanix Original gloves ... they are not as form fitting as I like but still tight and able to work with well.

Leather gloves in wet soil are a mess. Kevlar gloves are my favorite for the protection they offer and they dry quickly if they do get wet. I have plain ones and rubber coated ones for cold wet days.

Grease Monkey Max Fit Large Gorilla Grip Glove-25053-030 at The Home Depot

5 bucks at Home Depot....I swear by these gloves!

Never used to wear gloves until I started finding lots of pointy objects....and worms....but now I can't hunt with them...can't beat the price either.....dry quick too

Very nice option .... good grip, breathable and nice looking gloves.

Looks like they have some winter versions of these as well for a buck more for those in colder areas ....
