This morning at the silver farm I moved quickly toward a dollar in face; a couple quarters and a string of dimes will do that for you. One of these Buffs came out of the second hole after giving me a quarter signal ???. The other did nearly the same thing a while later. They are 36 and 34. All I needed to go home was silver, and it was hiding stubbornly. Finally, this 47 Rosey appeared and it was off to Pizza Hut for a lovely repast. Total for the day was near a buck and a half, with several wheats; the best are 20 and 39.

Nice finds, half!

I don't remember you pulling many Buffs out of the ground there before.

Good to see you're still diggin through the summer.

Thanks for sharing.

HMMMM...I'm only 45 too. :P :D

Congrats on those super finds!!! Nana :)

Quarter hits?? I'd say you might want to go back and check those two holes again!! I'm sure you already have, but...something else had to be there to give that quarter hit???

I agree. I've never had just a nickel give off a quarter signal. Something else was probably setting the detector off. maybe just deep junk but you never know. I once found a Newer nickel in a hole that registered as penny and when I rechecked the hole there was a barber dime deeper in the same hole. Sucks to be anyone who passed up that "penny" signal. Sometimes when I get tired at the end of a hunt I start passing on penny signals as well. Go back and check those holes

Great finds Keep them coming.

Regarding the quarter signals, I checked and rechecked those holes; this farm has occasionally given peculiar signals, and today is a prime example. Don't worry, when a silver quarter might be at stake, Halfdime isn't taking any chances ;D. Paul, I've probably pulled ten Buffs from the silver farm; I'd have to review my records.

Sounds like you had a nice, relaxing hunt with a good variety of finds. Nice silver to boot.

Halfdime,
I would guess you've already posted this, but how big is "the farm"? Seems it just keeps producing........
